Brissie

Terribly sorry for the lack of updates,
just that i got lazy until i read ChuiYi's blog and was once again motivated
knowing that the misses me,
its just so hard to accept that i was suppose to be back there where everyone i cared about was.

Anyways,
right now i'm in Brisbane (: far far away from where i used to be
weird enough i didnt have any feelings of anxiety, nervousness or heavy hearted-ness at all
when i left brunei,
i think i just got used to the goodbyes from my family and all.
before that my bag was over weight by 15KG, and for every kg i had to pay BND40.
So my whole family and i kept packing and packing and packing
until we got to 34kg and the lady let us through.
Even when i got into the departure halls the security guard there was already joking with me
due to the packing thingi and my little sister trying to weigh my bag on that very tinyyy weighing scale.
Got on the plane, watched a few recently missed movies and made a new friend.
the flight attendants were really nice too.
when i got off, i felt awfully dizzy.
might be due to the jet lag but it sucked.
People in Aussie are extremely friendly even the immigration officers started joking with me,
for what reason i had no idea. LOLs

Peter (QUT rep.) picked me and another girl up, to my homestay
when i got here i loved my room, its so big and comfy.
They gave me domino's pizza
and there were these two little kids,
they're so extremely adorable.
Everyone was so surprised that i only had two luggage bags
where as the other girl had at least 10 boxes.
maybe its because i left all my stuff in subangg.. hrmm
anyways.. there were no air conds or even fans, i kept thinking to myself 'what if i get hot?'
so i asked Winnie (housemate) for help and she told me it doesnt get hot
if the windows are open, in fact it gets cold at night.
Well she was right, its freezing in the morning.
i couldnt sleep that night, not because i was homesick because of the jet lag!
i kept going to the toilet trying to vomit..
i couldnt stop swearing every time i wake up to walk to the toilet.
finally i forced myself to and finally got some sleep.
Went shopping and was so amazed at the fact that the highest mall
around the suburbs are only one storey high.

off to orientation on tuesday
met a Canadian, Chinese, Japanese, lady from Papua New Guinea,
Koreans, Taiwanese and a Malaysian.
Only then did i find out that it was an international student orientation.
(x
yes i knoww.. lagging much? (:

then today i slept like a pig and went from my housing area to my campus, to the city and back home. Basically 3 hours of walking in flats (the shoes)
and having only 3, 10 to 15mins bus ride tops!
therefore my toes hurt like mad now.
tmrw i'll be taking the bus to uni,
walking to the bus stop 10mins, taking the bus 10mins, walking UPHILL to my uni 15mins.
when i go home, thankfully i'm going downhill but for another 15mins.
this is so awesomee!

But overall its awesome, just that i miss the feeling of sitting in a car and having astro,
part that is awesome, i dont have to pay for my food (its included in my rental),
its cool and breezy, its beautiful and the people here are just awesomely friendly and nice.
